We removed a steel exterior door (mobile home style, screwed on from the outside) from the house and installed a standard steel entry door. The rough opening had to be opened up about 7" in height. The siding was cut to match and new trim put back in place when the door was installed.
Unfortunately we didn't get before pictures of this one.
